This holiday season, how about giving the gift of
tech-enabled education? Globe is inviting its customers to help bridge the
digital divide and join its latest G-Gantic Goal: providing modern learning
tools and connectivity to five public schools in underserved areas.
Globe and TM customers can take part in this initiative by donating just one (1) Globe Rewards point from November 28 to December 30, 2024, showcasing how a simple collective action can create a lasting meaningful impact for many.
The goal is to collect 100,000 points to fund a technology revamp for beneficiary schools across the country, with support from the Ayala Foundation and Khan Academy Philippines.
The schools will be equipped with Globe Fiber Internet to power their students’ learning hubs, while 100 WiFi-enabled tablets will be distributed to provide students with essential tools for their academic needs beginning January next year.
The project follows the success of Globe’s first G-Gantic Goal last September, where beneficiary families of the Hapag Movement received over Php 1 million worth of support from Globe customers.
This time, Globe is focusing on
addressing the digital imbalance that leaves many students, particularly those
in provincial areas, without access to reliable tools and connectivity for
learning.
“We call on every Globe and TM customer with at least one Rewards point to join us in this endeavor. Together, we can transform the academic journeys of hundreds of students and make education more inclusive and accessible,” added Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.
By unlocking this G-Gantic Goal, Globe
wants to help start 2025 with stronger connections and greater learning
opportunities, ensuring that no student is left behind in the journey towards
digital empowerment.
